Polo, the king of games and the game of the kings!

Thank you for visiting Korea Polo Club!

Polo is the sport of Western Royals where players ride on horses and use long wooden mallets to score a small, rigid ball into the goal of the opposing team. The Royals not only enjoyed playing Polo for themselves but also fervently trained the discipline to their children as the sport builds both a strong mentality and physical strength in its practitioners. The thrill and joy from the 60km/h speeds while rushing towards opponents on 450kg horses and the clashing of mallets to stop each other’s swings, like a fancy sword play, is difficult to put into words and is better experienced exclusively from playing Polo.

However, the dynamic and intensity are not the only charms of Polo. The spirit of Polo lies with its ‘social intercourse’. Specifically, there is one tradition that both the players and the spectators must carry on after the matches are over: stomp on divots created by the horses. Prince Charles is no exception to this tradition, serving as another distinctive trait of Polo that presents a sincere and open field of social intercourse.

Currently, over 30,000 people from over 80 countries are enjoying Polo. Additionally, it is enjoyed in most countries around Asia including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Brunei, India, Pakistan, and Middle East countries. As the primitive Polo club in the Korea-Japan region, Korea Polo Club believes that the spirit of royals and the passion of Polo will perfectly fit into our society’s demands. Because the number of domestic players are still very limited, teams will mostly be comprised of international players. However, we believe that our “can-do spirits” will soon make us the best sports and social club in Korea.
